LONG PRESTON – REPORTED DEATH OF ANOTHER SOLDIER
We regret to learn that Mr. Arthur McIntyre of the Bradford Pals, who about two years’ ago married Miss Elizabeth Jeffries, daughter of Mrs. Jeffries, confectioner, of this place, has been killed on active service. Mrs. McIntyre and her mother only in February relinquished the business in Long Preston. They have now had a letter from an officer to the effect that McIntyre was killed on 26th February. The information was not from the War Office, but it is to be feared that it will only prove to be too true. Mrs. McIntyre is left with one child.

The above named, who about two years ago married Miss Elizabeth Jeffries, daughter of Mrs. Jeffries, confectioner, of Longpreston, has been killed on active service. Mrs. McIntyre and her mother only in February relinquished the business in Longpreston. They have now had a letter from an officer to the effect that McIntyre was killed on February 26th. The information was not from the War Office, but it is to be feared that it will prove to be true. Mrs. McIntyre is left with one child.
