Reginald Walker (born 21 April 1878) was the son of Charles Henry and Mary Ann Walker, née Dixon. Charles was born at Lindley and Mary Ann at Cowling, Yorkshire.

Reginald was educated at Giggleswick Public School from May, 1894 to December 1895. He became an estate agent and went to New York, U.S.A. He enlisted in Canada and came to England with the 1st Canadian Contingent. He transferred, firstly, to the Hampshire Regiment.
