Copenhagen Western Cemetery is located in the south west part of the city in Vestre Kirkegards Allee. Go through the main entrance and bear left. Follow the road to the end and turn right. The CWGC Plot is on the right. The one private memorial stands in Plot 24 Grave No.169, and is located at the rear of the cemetery and down a set of steps: coming down the steps you are facing the CWGC Plot.
Historical Information
Copenhagen Western Cemetery contains 24 Commonwealth burials of the First World War, most of whom were released prisoners of war who died in the winter of 1918/19. The cemetery also contains the graves of two Commonwealth airmen of the Second World War.
