Sidney Young was the son of William John and Mary Curtis Young, née Lusty. William was born at Cardiff, Glamorgan, Wales and Mary at Dursley, Gloucestershire. Sidney’s brother, Private Harold Young, 27574, ‘A’ Coy 1st Bn Worcestershire Regiment, was killed in action, 4 March 1917.
