Robert William Ford Danvers (born 11 September 1894) was the son of Robert Augustus and Sylvia Bertha Peplow Danvers, née Ford. Robert, senior, was born at Oudh, India and Sylvia at London, Middlesex.

1901 St. James, London Census: A11, The Albany - Robert W.F. Danvers, aged 6 years, born London. [Robert and his mother Sylvia B.P. Danvers were visiting, Susanah [sic] Oxenham, widow.]

Robert attended United Services College (now Haileybury) 1909-11.
