Thomas Edward Haresnape (born 10 March 1881) was the son of John Richard and Elizabeth Haresnape, née Bayliff. John was born at Sedbergh, Yorkshire and Elizabeth at Firbank, Westmorland.

1891 Sedbergh, Yorkshire Census: Mortar Pits Cottages, Soolbank - Thos Edwd Haresnape, aged 10 years, born Sedbergh, son of John Richard and [stepson of] Agnes Haresnape. [John had married Agnes Dent in 1888.]

1901 Huddersfield, Yorkshire Census: 159, Bradford Road, Fartown - Thomas Haresnape, aged 20 years, born Sedbergh, Yorkshire. Post Office Clerk. [Thomas was boarding with Jane Goodall, widow.]

Thomas was married to Minnie Leech in 1904. Minnie married George F. Lockwood in 1921.

The 1921 Census shows that Minnie (35 years and 9 months, born Milnsbridge, Yorkshire), her daughter Vera (aged 15 years and 6 months) and Minnie's sister Helena Wood, a widow, were living at 10, Springfield Road, Huddersfield. Vera married George Norman Jepson in 1932; she died in 1977.
