Local Information
The cemetery is situated in the Gamboa district of Rio de Janeiro, on Rua de Gamboa,. The war graves plot lies on the right side of the main path, 30 metres from the entrance.
Historical Information
Gamboa British Cemetery contains eight Commonwealth burials of the First World War as well as a special memorial to a casualty buried in Rio de Janeiro (S. Francisco Xavier) Cemetery. There are also four Second World War burials and one non-war grave in the cemetery.
