WADDINGTON - Sad Death of a Young Soldier

The village received a great shock to hear that Albert Chester, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Chester, of Masker Row, Waddington, had died from double pneumonia. He was only 18 years of age. It is only two months since he joined up, and about a fortnight since he had an attack of influenza. Last Friday his parents received a telegram from Hull, where he was stationed, to say he was seriously ill. His mother went to see him at once, and stayed with him until he died. He was a popular lad in the village. The greatest sympathy is felt for his mother and father in their sad loss.
