Farrand Earnshaw was the son of William and Jane Earnshaw, née Kayley and brother of A/Sergeant Kayley Earnshaw (11988) (q.v.). Their father was born at Paythorne and mother at Hellifield, Yorkshire. Farrand and Kayley were uncles of Ordinary Seaman George Earnshaw (J/30711) (q.v.).
