Frank Barritt was the son of Abner Brunskill and Ann Sarah Barritt, née Barrett. Abner was born at Foulridge, Lancashire and Ann at Salterforth, Yorkshire. Frank was the cousin of Private John Robert Barritt (29087) (q.v.). Alice Ann Barritt, Frank's cousin, was married to Private Lewis Carr Marsden (18615) (q.v.).
