George Sydney Gould (born 25 August 1893) was the son of George and Isabella Gould, née Mills and brother of Private John Mills Gould (17/1135) (q.v.). Their father was born at Exelby, Yorkshire and mother at Southwick, Co. Durham.

1901 Thoralby, Yorkshire Census: George S. Gould, aged 10 years, born Masham, Yorkshire, son of George and Isabella Gould.

1911 Brandsby, Yorkshire Census: Mill Farm - George Sydney Gould, aged 21 years, born Masham, Yorkshire. [George was employed by Reuben Hunton, Farmer.]
