The death has been officially reported of Corporal Harry Crossley, Duke of Wellington’s Regiment, son of Mr. and Mr. Fred Crossley, 9 Linden Terrace, Earby, he having been killed in action on October 11th. He was 22 years of age, and formerly in the employ of the Midland Railway Company at Earby as platelayer. He enlisted in the early stages of the war and had spent over three years in France.
