Henry Charles Coleman (born 13 October 1890) was the son of Job Henry and Fanny Coleman, née Reeves. Job was born at Poulton Priory, Gloucestershire and Fanny at Bathford, Somerset. Job served in the Great War as Pioneer (122970), 9th Labour Battalion, Royal Engineers. He died in France of pneumonia, 9 October 1915, aged 47 years old.

HELLIFIELD – Reported Missing

A.B. H.C. Coleman, Royal Naval Division, is officially reported missing. The information was received by Mrs. Haygarth, Victoria Terrace, in a letter from A.B. Coleman’s sister, which stated he had been missing since December 30th last year. Before joining the Navy in June last, A.B. Coleman was employed by the Midland Railway as a porter-guard.

HELLIFIELD

HELLIFIELD MAN REPORTED MISSING – Able Seaman H.C. Coleman, R.N. Division, is officially reported missing. The information was received by Mrs. Haygarth, Victoria Terrace, in a letter from Coleman’s sister, which stated that he had been missing since Dec. 30th, 1917.
