The Sedberghian, VOL. XXXVI. NO. 4. JULY, 1915 – In Memoriam.

H.W. WHALLEY

Lieut. 4th East Lancs. Regiment.

(Killed in action, March 4th).

H.W. Whalley was born in February, 1895, and came to Sedbergh in January, 1911. He was not here long to make any great mark in the School, as he left in July, 1912; but those who knew him in Sedgwick House remember him as a pleasant, simple boy who took his part in the School life, and was always keen on whatever he did. A true Sedberghian, he was ready when the call came, and we deeply deplore his all too early death.
