FORMER SILSDEN FOOTBALLER KILLED

News has been received of the death in action of a former Silsden footballer in the person of Herbert Whipp, a resident of Ingrow, near Keighley. He plated for several years with the Silsden first eleven, he being a playing member during the season when Silsden won the Keighley and District League.
