WEAVER DIES OF WOUNDS

News is to hand of the death from wounds on September 1st of Pte. James Seymour (41451), of the West Yorkshire Regt. His address was 18, Greenend-avenue, Earby, but he was a Burnley man, who formerly lived at 8, Howard-street. He left three years since to go to Earby. He leaves a wife and three children. He was 39 years of age, and was a weaver at Earby when he joined up in August, 1916. He formerly worked at S. Whitaker and Sons, Trafalgar-street, Burnley, and attended Bivell-street Mission. There are one brother and five brothers-in-law serving.

EARBY – TWO EARBY MEN DIE OF WOUNDS

Pte. James Seymour, whose death is officially reported to have taken place on September 1st from wounds received in action, was 39 years of age, and leaves a wife and three children living at 18, Green End Avenue, Earby. He was attached to the West Yorks. Regt. and had been at the Front ten months. Prior to joining up he was employed as a weaver at Messrs. B. and W. Hartley’s Brook Shed.
