LANGCLIFFE – Death of a Former Vicar's Son

We regret to record the death of Mr. Jack Sandberg, youngest son of the late Rev. S. Sandberg, formerly vicar of Langcliffe. He had been serving during the whole of the war in France in the M.T., A.S.C., and had done splendid work. He was advancing with the British Army into Germany when he was taken ill with influenza, of which he died 10 days later on December 4th in a Casualty Clearing Station between Premont and Bohain. He leaves a widow and a little girl.
