HOWGILL

NICHOLSON, Private John. Mr. and Mrs. Thos Nicholson, of Howgill have received official notice that their son, Pte. John Nicholson, Lancs. Fusiliers, is severely wounded and in hospital in France. The communication states that, in spite of his wounds, he is cheerful.

HOWGILL

NICHOLSON, Pte. John, Lancashire Fusiliers, has been missing since an engagement in France on the 11th of April. He is 21, and joined the East Lancashire Regt., in June, 1916, and was wounded in April, 1917. Previous to joining the army he was employed in farm service.
