Late Pte. L. Blackwell. - Another of our Dale Head boys has laid down his life. Leonard Blackwell made the supreme sacrifice on Sunday, March 10th. It is a consolation to know that he suffered no pain. He was a bright lad and only 19 years of age. To his parents and family we offer our heartfelt sympathy.

BLACKWELL - In loving memory of our dear son, Private Leonard (Leon) Blackwell, 2/6th South Stafford Regiment, who died of wounds in France, March 10th, I918.

We often think of you, dear son,
And our hearts are sad with pain;
All this world would be like Heaven
Could we hear your voice again.
In our home you are fondly remembered,
Sweet memories cling around your name;
True hearts that in life loved you dearly
Will love you in death just the same.

Fondly remembered by Father, Mother, Brother and Sisters and Auntie Bell, Higher Clough Farm, Dale Head.

BLACKWELL - In loving remembrance of our dear son and brother, Private Leonard (Leon) Blackwell, 2/6th South Staffords Regiment, who died of wounds in France, March 10th, 1918.

Comrades hands, by love made tender,
Laid our loved one 'neath the sod
Where he sleeps with England's heroes
'Neath the watchful care of God.
Forget him, no we never will;
We loved him in life, we love him still;
From memory's page we'd never blot
Those little words "Forget me not."

Fondly remembered by Father, Mother, Brothers and Sister and Auntie Bell, Higher Clough.
