BOLTON-BY-BOWLAND - ANOTHER SACRIFICE

Private Richard Brotherton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Brotherton, of Bolton-by-Bowland, died of pneumonia in France on November 23rd. Deceased joined the 2/6th Duke of Wellington's Regiment on the 27th March last, and went to France on the 13th of October. He was 20 years of age. This is the parents' second loss, their son, Private Benjamin Brotherton, being reported missing last year, and afterwards presumed to be dead. Much sympathy is expressed for the bereaved parents.
