EARBY – SERGEANT’S FATAL ACCIDENT

News has been received by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Milne, 40 Aspen Lane, Earby, of the death of their son, Sergeant Robert Hartley Milne, Duke of Wellington’s Regiment, which took place on the 29th ult., at Boulogne, as the result of an accident. It appears that Sergeant Milne slipped in an attempt to board a train and fell with both legs under the wheels. He was 26 years of age and had spent 3½ years on the Western Front, going out with the 1/6th in April, 1915.

Earby Sergeant’s Fatal Accident

News has been received by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Milne, 40, Aspen Lane, Earby, of the death of their son, Sergt. Robert Hartley Milne, Duke of Wellington’s Regiment, which took place on the 29th ult. At Boulogne, as the result of an accident. It appears that Sergt. Milne slipped in attempting to board a train, and fell with both legs under the wheels. He was 26 years of age, and had spent 3½ years on the Western front, going out with the first sixth in April, 1915.
