STEETON-WITH-EASTBURN - Died of Wounds

After having for several months failed to obtain any reliable information from any source respecting her son, Private Thomas Baldwin, Duke of Wellington's Regiment, Mrs. Frank Baldwin, Harewood Cottages, Steeton, during last week had an official communication informing her that her son had died of wounds last May.

Private Baldwin, previous to enlisting, was a warp dresser in the employ of Messrs. Knox, manufacturers, Silsden, and was a prominent player in the Eastburn Cricket Club's first eleven. In the offensive, which took place early in May on the Western Front, he was seen by several comrades to have been wounded.
