30 August 1918

DOLPHIN – In unfading memory of my dear brother, Private William H. Dolphin, West Yorks. Regiment, killed while stretcher bearing August 28th, 1917.

We pictured you safe returning,
We longed to clasp your hand;
But God has postponed the meeting
Till we meet in a better land.

“Missed most by those who loved him best.”

Sadly missed by his loving sister Alice and Children, Cragg Row, Salterforth.
