PARROTT – In loving memory of a dear husband, Private W. E. Parrott, of the 1/7th Middlesex Regiment, killed in action August 30th, 1918.

If I could have raised his dying head
And heard his last farewell,
The parting would have not been so hard
For those who loved him well.

Ever remembered by his loving wife, Ciss, Keighley.

PARROTT – In loving memory of a dear brother, Private W. E. Parrott, of the 1/7th Middlesex Regiment, killed in action August 30th, 1918.

On a far-off battlefield,
With no stone to mark the place,
Lies a loving brother
In a cold and unknown grave.

From his Brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Fan, Keighley.

PARROTT – In loving memory of a dear son, Private W. E. Parrott, of the 1/7th Middlesex Regiment, killed in action August 30th, 1918.

Sleep on, dear son in a far-off land,
In a grave we may never see;
But as long as life and memory last
We will remember thee.

From his Mother and Father-in-law, Burnley.

PARROTT – In loving memory of our dear brother-in-law, Private William Edward Parrott, 1/7th Middlesex Regiment, late of Gargrave, killed in action August 30th, 1918.

May the heavenly winds blow softly
O’er that sweet and hallowed spot;
Though the sea divides his grave from us
He will never be forgot.
