VICTIM OF HUN PIRATES

Mrs. Ireland, of 2, Layfield-street, Burnley, has just been officially notified that her brother, Fireman Bruce Bradley is now presumed dead as the result of enemy action on the night of June 27th while serving on "Llandovery Castle." He had previously been reported missing in July last. The unfortunate sailor had served for over nine years on the sea, and on three previous occasions the different vessels had been torpedoed. Previous to joining the "Llandovery Castle" he served on the "Orita." Fireman Bradley was 37 years of age, and a single man. He was a native of Gargrave, but settled many years ago with his sister, Mrs Ireland, in Burnley.
