Carl Randolph Watson was the son of Edmondson and Nancy Watson, née Parker. Edmondson was born at Barnoldswick and Nancy at Kelbrook, Yorkshire. Carl was the cousin of Gunner Edgar Parker (127193) (q.v.) and Private Walter Parker (235426) (q.v.).

BARNOLDSWICK'S ROLL OF HONOUR – Death from Heart Failure

The death occurred on Friday last, at Ludlow, Shropshire, from heart failure, following an attack of influenza, of Private Carl R. Watson, of 65 Park Road, Barnoldswick. He was 29 years of age, and the youngest son of the late Mr. Edmondson Watson, who died four months since. Private Watson was formerly a loomer employed by the Craven Manufacturing Co., Butts Mill. He was called to the Colours a year and seven months ago, and had since been employed on a labour unit in this country. He leaves a wife but no children. The funeral took place at Gill Cemetery on Monday.
