OLD CRANLEIGHAN NOTES.

Roll of Honour.

ON A NAME IN THE CASUALTY LISTS.

Gone, one who has built Cranleigh, by whose life
Of service, love,
Strong patience, she makes good his splendid hopes;
Who last, above
His former labour, ended in this strife.

She will be mindful of him, for his death
Completes his toil,
In his last gift to those who knew him there,
Who will not spoil
His work to build her while he still had breath.

SEC.-LIEUT. G. W. WATERHOUSE.
