RIMINGTON - Killed In Action

Mr. and Mrs. Banks, of Rimington Mill, have the sympathy of the whole countryside in the loss at this eleventh hour and, after only a fortnight in France of their only son, Private Harry Banks, Duke of Wellington's Regiment. He was 22 years of age, and was killed in action early in this month, official news reaching his parents last week-end.

RIMINGTON - Memorial Service

Many friends gathered together in Stopper Lane Wesleyan Chapel on Sunday to pay respect to the memory of Private Harry Banks, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Banks of Rimington Mill. Six weeks before was his last Sunday at home and he was killed in action in France, after being out only a fortnight. The sermon was preached by the Rev. C. D. Eades.
