SKIPTON PORTER SUCCUMBS TO WOUNDS

We regret to say that official news was received yesterday of the death from wounds received in action on August 15th of Private Henry Brown, York and Lancaster Regiment, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. William Brown, Keighley Road, Skipton. Deceased was 25 years of age and was formerly a porter at Skipton Station. His brother, Private John William Brown, is also serving with the Coldstream Guards at the Front.

The above photograph is that of Private Henry Brown, York and Lancaster Regiment, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Brown, 53, Keighley Road, Skipton, who was officially reported killed in action on August 15th. Twenty-five years of age, he was formerly a porter at Skipton Station. His brother, Private John Wm. Brown, is also serving with the Coldstream Guards at the Front.

DEATH OF PRIVATE H. BROWN

News was received yesterday that Pte. Harry Brown, of the York and Lancaster Regiment, eldest son of Mr. William Brown, of 53, Keighley Road, Skipton, had died from wounds received in action on the 15th of August. Private Brown, who was 25 years of age, was formerly employed as a porter at the Skipton Railway Station. Mr. Brown has also another son, Private John Brown, who is serving with the Coldstream Guards at the front.
