Killed along with 5 other men of the 93rd Company of the MGC in assembly trenches whilst awaiting to move forward to support the attack by the 63rd (Royal Navy) Division on the village of Gavrelle. Still remembered. All 6 men buried in Bailleul Road East Cemetery.
