Carleton Soldier Dies of Wounds

Mr. and Mrs. A White, Glen Farm, Carleton, have received news from the War Office that their third son, Corporal John White, Grenadier Guards, was wounded on the 21st of July and died on the 13th August. According to a letter received from the matron of a hospital in France, Corporal White never regained consciousness. Corporal White volunteered for service on the 23rd of February, 1916. He was 22 years of age.
