CARLETON – SOLDIER’S SUDDEN DEATH

Mr. and Mrs. William White, The Grange Farm, Carleton, received the and news during last week that their only son, Rifleman William White, West Yorkshire Regiment, had died suddenly at the County Infirmary, Enniskillen, Ireland. Rifleman White was 19 years of age, and had recently been in training at Finner Camp, Ballyshannon. Arrangements were made at Carleton for the funeral, but the medical authorities would no allow the body to be removed, as he had died from infectious disease. His sergeant has sent a letter of sympathy, and he says Rifleman White was always a bright and cheerful soldier. We will give a photograph next week.
