Lewis Marsden Bull (born 31 October 1895) was the son of Lewis Daniel and Mary Amelia Bull, née Marsden. Lewis, senior, was born at Sydney and Mary at Windsor, New South Wales, Australia.
When Lewis joined the Australian Imperial Force he was a University Engineering Student. After the war, had it been possible, his parents would have brought his remains home to Australia at their own expense. He is commemorated on the Strathfield War Memorial, Sydney, N.S.W.
The image of the cap badge also shows the colour patch of the battalion.
A short biography of Lewis is included in: ‘Swaledale & Wharfedale Remembered – Aspects of Dales’ life through peace and war’ by Keith Taylor (2006).
