ELLISON – March 26th at Cambridge Hospital, Aldershot, Luke Ellison, 3/1st Scottish Horse, aged 19 years, only and dearly beloved son of Walter and Emily Ellison, of 30, Ermysted Street, Skipton. Interred at Waltonwrays Cemetery on March 30th.

SKIPTON SOLDIER DIES IN TRAINING

The death took place last weekend at Aldershot of Trooper Luke Ellison, of the Scottish Horse, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ellison, of Ermysted Street, Skipton. Deceased, who was in his 20th year, was one of the first of several Skipton youths to join the Scottish Horse about five months ago. He went through his early training at Dunkeld and was transferred to Aldershot about three months ago. Here he contracted a fever, to which he succumbed. Deceased, a popular young fellow, was formerly employed by Messrs. W. A. and J. Simpson. He was for some time a member of the Swimming Club. The interment took place yesterday (Thursday) at Waltonwrays Cemetery, Skipton.
