Rowland Parker was the son of Rowland and Rebecca Parker, née Thwaite. Rowland, senior, was born at Deepdale near Yockenthwaite and Rebecca at Kettlewell, Yorkshire. Rowland, junior, was probably distantly related to Private Leonard Parker (80188) (q.v.) and Private Parker Bateson (32262) (q.v.).
