REYNARD – Officially reported killed in action April 25th 1917, Lance-Corpl. Thos. Reynard, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Reynard, of Moor End Farm, Langbar, and late of Appletreewick, aged 27 years.

LANGBAR – ANOTHER HERO: LANCE-CORPORAL THOMAS REYNARD

Lance-Corporal Thomas Reynard, aged 27 years, the youngest son of Mr. William Reynard of Moor End Farm, Langbar, and late of Appletreewick, who was reported missing a month ago, is now officially posted as killed. The information from York states that Lance-Corporal Reynard had been killed in action on April 25th.

Lance-Corporal Reynard joined Kitchener’s Army in September 1914, and had been in France about 21 months. In July last he received wounds in the Battle of the Somme. His only brother has been in France since November last with the Canadian Engineers.

LANGBAR SOLDIER KILLED IN ACTION

Lance-Corpl. Thomas Reynard (27), youngest son of Mr. Wm. Reynard, of Moor End Farm, Langbar, and late of Appletreewick, who was reported missing a month ago, is now officially posted killed. The information was received from York on Thursday last, and it is stated that Lance-Corpl. Reynard had been killed in action on April 25th. Reynard joined Kitchener’s Army in September, 1914, and has been in France about 21 months. In July last he received wounds in the Battle of the Somme. His only brother has been in France since November last, he being with the Canadian Engineers.
