News has reached his Gargrave relatives that Private Walter Scott, of the 18th Hussars (Queen Mary's Own) second son of Mr. Richard Scott, late of Gargrave, was killed in action on the l3th of May. Scott, who was aged 21 years, was a native of Gargrave, having joined the forces in Lancashire.
