BARNOLDSWICK – DEATH FROM GAS POISONING
Gunner Arthur Sneath, R.F.A., who in our last week’s issue was reported dangerously ill at a Casualty Clearing Station in France, suffering from gas poisoning, died on the 30th September. He was 40 years of age and leaves a wife and two sons, the elder of whom is in the Navy. Gunner Sneath had been in France six months.

The above is a portrait of Gunner Arthur Sneath, R.F.A., who, as reported last week, died at a casualty clearing station in France from the effects of gas poisoning on September 30th. He was 40 years of age, and leaves a widow and two sons. Before joining the Army he worked at Messrs. Edmondson’s Fern Bank Shed, and was for several years secretary of the Barnoldswick Liberal Club.
