Charles Ernest Pilling (born 14 July 1870) was the son of Thomas and Mary Pilling, née Oates. Thomas was born at Mytholmroyd and Mary at Roberttown, Yorkshire. Charles was the uncle of Corporal Stanley Richmond (467545) (q.v.).
