WOUNDED AND MISSING

Private F. Wilson, Coldstream Guards, son of Mr. Thos. Wilson, 2 Commercial Street, Barnoldswick, is officially reported missing since April 13th.

23 May 1919

WILSON – In loving memory of Private Fred Harry Wilson, 3rd Battalion Coldstream Guards, presumed killed 13th April, 1918.

In an unknown grave in France,
There a brave young hero sleeps.
There’s a cottage home in England
Where his dear mother sits and weeps;
May the Heavenly wind blow softly
O’er that sweet and hallowed spot,
Though the sea divides his grave from us
He will never be forgot.

From Mother, Father, Wife, Sisters and Brothers.
