Private John Waterworth (Duke of Wellington’s), killed April 13th, was 21 years of age and the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Waterworth, 9 Rook Street, Barnoldswick. He had spent two years on the Western Front, and had been twice wounded and once gassed. He was home on leave during the first week in March. Formerly he was employed as a coal carter by Mr. P. D. Bilbrough.
