Norman Edwin Dale was the son of Alfred and Mary Dale, née Ingham. Both parents were born at Skipton, Yorkshire. Norman was the cousin of Private Arthur Ingham (201231) (q.v.) and Private Henry Ingham (38667) (q.v.).
