Thomas Hodgson (born 3 May 1882) was the son of James and Annie Hodgson, née England. James was born at Gisburn Forest and Annie at Addingham, Yorkshire. Thomas was the cousin of: Private Tom Hodgson (26671) (q.v.); Private Percy Hodgson (13771) (q.v.); Private Robert Hodgson (28391) (q.v.); Private Rowland Robinson (235477) (q.v.) and Private John Hodgson (29749).
