William Henry Grant (born 29 June 1883) was the son of Jonathan Robert Knowles and Harriet Grant, née Bird. Jonathan was born at Burnley, Lancashire anf Harriet at Woolpit Green, Suffolk.
1891 Burnley, Lancashire Census: 5, Tunstil Street - William H. Grant, aged 7 years, born Barnoldswick, Yorkshire, son of Harriet Grant (married).
1901 Blackburn, Lancashire Census: 91, Walter Street - William H. Grant, aged 17 years, born Barnoldswick, Yorkshire, nephew of Richard and Hannah Bagley. [William's grandmother, Harriet Bird, was also living there with her daughter and son-in-law.]
William was married to Sarah Alice Dickenson in 1909. Sarah married John Ross in 1920.
